We used Lost Paddle in 2008 for our Jr/Sr football players summer trip. Fast forward 11 years and we finally got around to going rafting again (wife’s first time). We could have chosen any one of the larger companies but didn’t hesitate to use Lost Paddle. Maddy was our guide and did a great job! Her confidence in her abilities put us at ease and definitely made the day enjoyable. We are already planning a family excursion and Lost Paddle will be our choice again. Great job building a company that knows what it means to take care of their customers. You can spend your money on a bigger rafting company but the thing you’ll leave with is the memory. Lost Paddle understands this and makes sure the memory is a great one. You’re not just another customer, you’re part of their family. Great job LPR!

We went on the half day Royal Gorge trip! Lost Paddle made us feel like family and we had a great time. It was a challenging ride but Rabbit made us feel like we had it all under control. I would recommend them for all. You don’t get this personalized feeling from most companies.

CHOOSE THIS COMPANY! They are great! This is a smaller company and they are just wonderful. Nathan was our guide and he made the trip very fun and interesting. Rabbit was the guide for the other rafting team. I really enjoyed his safety instructions–very entertaining and informative. (I almost wanted to be a “Swimmer”)

Beautiful canyon, and 2 and 3 level rapids perfect for my special needs daughter who loved every splash. Lost paddle staff was friendly, professional, and fun. There are bigger options, but this group knows service and fun. Great time!

I’ve rafted the gorge with Lost Paddle Rafting about 7 times in the past couple of years. They are safe, professional, and most importantly – FUN!!!! Owners Jim and Kelly are nice, informative, accommodating. This small (but mighty) outfitter beats going with one of the bigger “corporate”-like rafting companies any day.
I’ve taken several groups of friends on the Full-Day gorge trip. HIGHLY recommend. A half day will only leave you wanting for more. The scenery on the river in breathtaking!
We had so much fun white water rafting! Our family wants to do it every year from now on. What an incredible adventure. Even my teenage daughters were surprised by how much fun it was! Thank you to Madi our amazing guide.
This is my 9th year rafting with Lost Paddle Rafting. I have done every level of rafting with them: Big Horn, Royal Gorge – High Water, Medium Water – Family outings, College buddies – Young kids, Teenagers. EVERY trip has been excellent!
There are many things to consider when rafting:
First, we have always felt safe even though you’re in a potentially extreme activity. Jim’s first priority is your comfort and safety.
Second, their guides are the best on the Arkansas River. Talented, interesting, fun, and personable. You can tell they enjoy their job and want their group to experience and learn about everything both on the river and in the canyon.
Lastly, this is a first-class operation with personal family feel. Ask Jim or Kelly for anything and they will do their best to accommodate. Every time we’ve gone, we always do something unique like swimming in the river or jumping off cliffs into deep pools. You always see the other rafting company clients looking at us saying, “Why can’t we do that?!?”
Definitely read their FAQ’s on their website, make sure to wear sunscreen and don’t hesitate to buy pictures (very high resolution and action packed) of your trip. Lost Paddle Rafting may be smaller than the other companies, but it has the biggest heart!

I went on a rafting trip with this company as part of a family reunion. There were about 60 family members that went on the trip. Everyone from Lost Paddle went out of their way to ensure that everyone in our group was taken care of. The day was broken into two sections with an excellent lunch served in between the two sections. I’m sure they could have cut costs and provided cheaper bread, meats and such, but they didn’t. All the food was excellent quality. There were members of our group that couldn’t decided if they wanted to do one or two trips. No problem for Lost Paddle. I have rafted many times over the years and had many great trips. I wouldn’t say any of them were bad. It is just something a little extra that Lost Paddle did that made this trip the best trip ever.
