Shelf Road Bike Adventure

This ride is legendary.  This road descends over 3000ft from Cripple Creek to Canon City along sheer 1000 foot drop offs. Shelf Road offers a scenic beauty unlike anywhere else. This ride is not for the faint of heart or those who are uncomfortable with heights. Must be 16 years old and up to participate. This tour includes Kona® Precept Full-Suspension Mountain Bike, Shuttle, and Guide. Some uphill required.

Personal organization, not the herded cattle experience you get up the road. Ask about the Mt. Bike package. We were privileged to preview the upcoming offering of Guided Mt. Bike Tours. Jim shuttled us up to about 9,000 feet and led us down a beautiful switchback road. As visitors to the area from Kansas, we received a real touch with the environment from a mountain bike. Those of our group that zip lined wished they had chosen this instead. We took a 14 mile ride, descending over 3,000 feet, stopping frequently to experience the surroundings. Definitely a great value add-on to rafting. Matt M. Dodge City, Kansas
